Power of the TONGUE

Being a woman God has given us a special calling and that is to be a help to our husband and children in the time of need. That's where the power of the TONGUE could build or destroy.
As women we have to be careful how and when we speak. At times we speak without thinking about the outcome after the words are spoken.
Tonight my husband was feeling a little down, instead of doing what he ask, and that was to pray for him, I spoke before I even new it. It silence him and me, the tongue kicked in and UH OH, I spoke to soon.
My Knight went upstairs to our Throne room and the opportunity to pray was at hand and I got right on it.
The POWER of Prayer, it's a very important key in my house hold, it help solve a lot of problems and it gives you peace, meditation is a great gift. After about 15 Min's the Knight came down a different man smiling, showing affection and said I love you, yes I love you after the slip of the tongue.
He's a great man and I love him with all my heart, That's my Knight.
So women be careful how we use the tongue it can be a help and also a burden, so we should use out God given gift, wisdom. God bless and have a Merry Christmas.

New to the world of blogging

Well, blogging is very new to me. At times I don't know what to write. But as time goes on I will master it. I love reading other blogger. It's very interesting to see and read about different things that goes on in the world. There are great people still out there. People that are very helpful. I see other blogs and wonder how did they do that, I'm referring to the video and pictures, and other nice things I've seen in other blogger blogs. I just want to thank all of the fellow blogger that visited my blog. I know it's not that exciting yet but it will be. We are family, God bless and I'll blog you tomorrow.

Three Days and Counting, Stuttgart, AR

My husband is our Pastor personal driver, and this year he was chosen to take my Pastor and our First Lady to Stuttgart, AR. This is the first time in twelve years of marriage we've been apart. When he first left I was fine, it was Tuesday morning everything was going as usual, until that evening. That's when it started, the questions, Mom when is dad coming home, that was from my seven year old, then the next was the five year old, and the baby he is very irritable. He knew his Daddy wasn't home. This is day three and I'm still hanging on, I miss him so much. He's going to be gone until November 6, That's a long time. He's been calling me every day and night, so that's a help with the missing part. You know when God put two people together they become one, and that's the case with me and my Knight. But I believe this trip is going to bring the bond between us even closer. My blessings are still asking the same question when will Daddy be back and I tell them in a week, but actually it's a week and five days. Just keep us in your prays. God bless.

It is so much fun working with my blessing in the kitchen. The oldest girls help with prep,
getting everything in order to start cooking. I try during the summer to create quick meals. During the fall and winter season is when we do crock pot meals, and a lot of baking. I enjoy cooking, I have a few cookbooks, and on Saturdays, I take the time to look at the cooking hours on PBS. I try to have veggies with every meal.

New Recipe I come across when I was visiting Pioneer woman blog, Delicious!
Pioneer Woman Chicken Spaghetti
2 cups cooked chicken
2 cans Cream of Mushroom soup
2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup finely diced green pepper
1/2 cup finely diced onion
1-4 oz jar diced pimentos, drained
3 cups dry spaghetti, broken into two inch pieces
2 cups reserved chicken broth from pot
1 teaspoon Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 additional cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
Cook 1 cut up fryer and pick out the meat to make two cups. Cook spaghetti in same chicken broth until al dente. Do not overcook. When spaghetti is cooked, combine with remaining ingredients except additional 1 cup sharp cheddar. Place mixture in casserole pan and top with remaining sharp cheddar. Cover and freeze up to six months, cover and refrigerate up to two days, or bake immediately: 350 degrees for 45 minutes until bubbly.
(If the cheese on top starts to get too cooked, cover with foil).

Library Day

The day started off great, the children got up, did their first assignment, life studies(chores). Got dress, fix breakfast and ate. We brush our teeth, we were on our way, until the knight awoken, he got dress and ask me if I could ride with him to the store. Throw my time off.

Today is library day we go to the library every Wednesday. This week the librarian stated story time and it started at 10:00a.m., so that meant we had to be there at 9:30am. Didn't make it, my knight didn't get me back until 9:45, we didn't reach the library until 10:00a.m. It all went well, it just threw my whole day off . We didn't leave the library until 12:30, we were suppose to be gone at 12:00. I love my life, it's one adventure after another. Let me get to the point, the library is part of our curriculum, reading is very important in our household. If you can read knowledge will follow. I let each blessing pick out six books, then I pick out two that I want them to read.

We're studying Maya Angelou for the next to weeks. My older blessings are reading books she wrote and giving their input about the book in their open journals, also their reading about her life as a poet. The next group is learning one of her poems, and the youngest group I'm reading her biography to them. Geography, we're learning about Japan. Math, 10th grader pre-algebra, 6th grader multiplications, 4th grader money and measurements, 2nd grader double digit subtraction, my kindergarten single digit addition, my pre-preschooler numbers. Read, Read, Read, Read that's what were doing in reading. Science were finishing our studies on plants and getting ready to start on the weather-Tornadoes. Art, all fall creations, from colorful leaves to pumpkins. Spelling each level to whom is required. Grammar/language art, we're all working on Nouns. So that's what were working on this week. God bless.

Oh My! Saturday morning

I woke up around 6:30 ready to go, and I couldn't I had to lay back down just a few more moments, it helped. I got up to get things going, because Saturday is my day for me to get ready for the next week. I get my menu together, log grades for class, write up the budget for that week, and etc. But this Saturday I had to get the children ready for a birthday party. The party didn't start until three, but with seven and my Saturday's being my plan day it was chaotic. Thank God we made it I'm tried but the children had a great time. I didn't get to get any of my duties done but it's OK. Tomorrow after bible class I'll get it done. God bless all of you and keep him first in your life. BLESSED752.

Back in the game.

I've been away from my blog post, trying to get the family back on track. Mission accomplished. We started class Monday morning with prayer. I have each of the children memorize a chapter of choice, with mom's help. The day started early morning for me, that's my mommy time. I read or whatever I want to do. That time begins at 6:00 a.m. Around 7:00, I start to get each person up in 30 minute time spots, that gives me one on one time with each of my little blessings. First course-chores, each person along with partner freshen their chore. Next math, following with grammar and so on. I don't spend all day in class we're usually done by 1:00 p.m. Give or take a few minutes. Well next time I'll give you a peek at my schedule. So I'm going to end with a grand farewell. God bless you all.

My father is with Jesus

This Sunday, we received a call from my brother-in-law, stating that we needed to come to the hospital. My father (in-law) was rushed to the ER. When we got there, He was already gone, God had entered the room, and took him home. The peace of God was upon his face. God is Awesome. When your heart weighs heavy, God is there to give you peace, and uplift your spirit in the time of trouble. As we go through life, we must reflect from the Almighty God, and realize that He's the only one who can give us peace.
